We aim to

  1. Persuade the Secretary of State for Health to impose a statutory obligation upon the NHS to provide home birth services nationwide.

    That this House wishes to express its concern at the suspension of home birth services by the Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the consequent lack of care available to local women wishing to have a home birth....

  1. Ensure that women denied a home birth are provided with simple ways to challenge that decision and receive appropriate advice and support.

    Ensure that the Department of Health is made aware of her experience of denial.

    Ensure that her experience is also reported to those organizations working for home birth rights.
